It's embarrassing to sleep at night and suddenly wake up in
the middle. Even if you try to sleep again, you can go back and forth, and if
you can't sleep properly, your condition will be a mess the next day.
When waking up in the middle of the night, some people check
their time with their smartphones, while others get out of bed and drink a glass
of water. In this regard, the British Daily Mail introduced two things that
sleep experts should not do when sleeping in the middle of the night.
◆ Don't check the time = Fear of not getting enough
sleep at night has a bad effect in many ways. "But this is for people who
have the habit of checking the time when they sleep while they sleep,"
said Michael Breers, a member of the American Sleep Medicine Committee.
“It's a mistake to check the time when you wake up in the
middle,” said Dr. Breers. Added.
If you wake up in the middle and check the time, you can
prevent you from falling asleep again because of the anxiety that you have only
a few hours left before starting work.
◆ Don't get out of bed as much as possible = If you open
your eyes while you sleep, you shouldn't get up to bed or go to bed. It will be
difficult to fall asleep again when you go out of bed. It's good to stay in bed
while feeling the warmth of a soft blanket.
Of course, if urine, etc. is too urgent, it is better to do
it quickly and go back to bed. When you wake up and work, your heart pumps more
blood into your body. Dr. Breers said, "In order to sleep, your heart
needs to be at a low level, but this process doesn't happen very quickly,
making it difficult for you to fall asleep again."
